But you should also know this 'mene mene tekel upharsin'... (Google that) I apply the latter part quite differently.. Yes..the writing is on the wall.. Australia is in decline and found wanting, Political Correctness is dragging us down and out, and.. it's not just the 'Persians' coming ..but another legal system... "Sharia Law" and if we don't stand up now... we will utterly deserve it for our negligence and apathy.
Ok.. time to "man up" and "girl up" team. If you are Aussie and haven't yet lost heart in your country, if you still have a tiny element of zeal for

...then perhaps you will tweak to what I'm saying here.
In order to fully appreciate where Conlon is coming from, it's worth looking at the origin of his quaint saying. This will give us all a 'preview' of this man and his growing group of radical Muslim's "destination". We need to know that..because it concerns us and our families and values.
It comes from Surah/Chapter 9:32 in the Quran
9.32 "Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it)."
The next verse says:
9:33 It is He Who hath sent His Apostle with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).
Now this verse speaks of 'proclamation'... ok.. so far so good..but let's look more closely at the context:
Prior to those verses we have *this*
9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
Unquestionably, this is a 'call to arms' against non Muslims. The critical question is... can this be applied universally and generally outside the immediate historical context of the chapter in which it's found?
To my mind, and apparently, to the mind of Muhammad's companions...in particular the Caliph Umar who was physically present during Muhammad's life and when these verses were recorded, it is absolutely so.
While there is a divergence of opinions among Muslims on this matter, most especially when they are in demographic minority status where they tend to 'downplay' this call to arms, those who have real power, revel in the freedom it gives them to attack non Muslims with all the force they can muster.(In order to impose Islamic rule or to punish Christians, Jews and Pagans for some perceived 'sin' against Islam"
The other point which needs to be made is that within this diversity of theological opinion of the Muslims there are those who would hold that such 'calls to arms' only apply when there is a Caliph and a Caliphate of world wide Islam.
But even now, with the numbers of Muslims in the community being relatively small, we still face the problem and challenge of what values are being celebrated in their holy book. Ask yourself this question, if you were Jewish, and you knew that a group of Neo Nazi's had rented a house just doors from your synagogue, and they were reading and celebrating Hitlers Mein Kampf.... would you have concerns? Of course you would.
Just so, as a Christian or a Jew, you should have concerns about statements like this below..in the Quran.
9:30 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!
Personally...I'd call that hate speech. it certainly incites hatred against Jews and Christians because they are 'cursed' by allah.
In such cases we Aussies must be vigilant and wary. In one case it is an IMMEDIATE call to arms as per Conlon's message to the ADL via facebook and an sms sent to Martin Brennan as follows:

In the other case.. you will usually find people emphasizing the need to work towards a Caliphate (Hizb Ut Tahrir and ilk) which THEN will apply the same thing on non Muslims.

Not only is it validating a call to arms, this Hadith is also validating 'matrydom missions' with promises of paradise on the one hand if the Muslim is killed, and MASTERY over non Muslims if he is not.
In our case (ADL) we must vehemently point out, that the likes of Conlon will be well and truly taken care of by the AFP who are probably monitoring him and his associates with more probes and devices than the whole of the intensive care ward at a major hospital.

If not...then why not move to some country like Saudi Arabia. But if you live here.. and love your land , your culture and your freedom and traditions... then DO something.. bring your body and your voice to this Rally. "No Sharia...not now, not ever" for holding this sign, peacefully, I was attacked by a communist thug. (Didn't lay a glove on me).. no problem.. I'll be out there with a BIGGER one next time.(and a couple of heavy duty security blokes)

Peacefully, Lawfully, Passionately. This has nothing to do with Muslims in general, do NOT hate them! It has everything to do with the slow but relentless imposition by stealth of a legal system. If you are the kind of person who is easily moved to 'hatred' of your fellow man.. GET HELP.. and seek therapy...this is NOT about hatred for Muslims as individuals.
It IS about hatred for a legal system which would hack off your hand if you stole a loaf of bread and many other horrifying things. (as some of us saw on the Four Corners program)
