Just another Thursday: August 11th

Outside my window....it's sunny and the sky is blue with a few clouds

Today I feel...healthier (I had a TERRIBLE sore throat yesterday), accomplished because I requested my working permit today, and relaxed because I taught upper classmen in the afternoon

I am thankful...that things are coming along well for me so far in this country

Tomorrow I am going...to work and then who knows? Maybe to watch a movie?

I am wearing...work clothes

I wish...for something that I'll keep to myself but that I hope comes true. Soon.

This weekend...I hope to explore the city more, to watch a soccer game, and maybe go shopping

I am reading...curriculum maps, lesson plans, and e-mails. No time to read much else and I still don't have my new Kindle

I am working on...finishing my lesson plans for 9th and 12th grade so I am ready to present them to my principals tomorrow afternoon

Yesterday I...got a manicure and pedicure, created a pop quiz for mys seniors, watched an episode of True Blood, and went to bed early since I was sick

I am hoping...to feel better tomorrow, to finish my lesson plans tonight, and to have a fun weekend

I am hearing...my husband talk and laugh

I bet you don’t know...that the medicine in Brazil seems (to me) to be stronger than that in the U.S.

One of my favorite...flavors of natural juice is goiaba

Outside my window....it's dark and cool.

Today I feel...a bit nervous about the upcoming week, but also glad that I accomplished something school related tonight

I am thankful.. for the opportunity to be able to live and work in Brasilia.

Tomorrow I am going.. to a rock concert

I am wearing...exercise pants and a long sleeved shirt since I went for a walk this evening

I wish.. that all goes well for me on my first day of (teaching the students at) school on Monday

This weekend.. I will make sure to take time to have a good time, relax, and also prepare for Monday

I am reading.. Invisible Man

I am working on.. preparing my 9th grade lesson plans

Yesterday I.. went out to dinner with friends, went grocery shopping, bought hangers, and a new bathroom rug

I am hoping.. for a productive work day tomorrow and a good weekend

I am hearing..nothing. My neighborhood is pretty quiet

Outside my window.. it's hot and humid and sunny

Today I feel.. tired, overwhelmed, but content

I am thankful.. for good friends. In particular (today), for Zack, Emily, Aliah, Stephanie, Jelis, and Paolo

Tomorrow I am going.. to have a Greek lunch with a friend, a Japanese dinner with friends, and then to party on the last Friday that I'm in Orlando at Siberian Nights with a Brazilian DJ (from Manaus!)

I am wearing.. yoga pants and a tank top (I've packed all of my good stuff)

I wish.. that my 8th suitcase won't exceed 70 lbs and that the airline will look away if E decides to take a BIG bag as his personal item

This weekend.. will be my last in the States (for awhile)

I am reading.. "1984", "Committed", and will soon be reading "Of Mice and Men"

I am working on.. packing and moving to Brazil

Yesterday I.. cleaned the house, threw away garbage, donated food and other items to our friends, made arrangements to sell our car, read, and packed

I am hoping.. for a smooth trip to Brazil with NO issues (please, please)

I am hearing.. E's techno music and a knock on the door. My shoes arrived!
