The translation for hydrogen peroxide in Portuguese is just what one would imagine: peróxido de hidrogênio
I figured that it was so, but I didn't know how to pronounce it or even write it; so when I went to the drug store this evening I had to try another tactic. I asked if anyone speaks English and when I was told no, then I told them I wanted to buy something that is often used to heal cuts but that I didn't know the name in Portuguese. However, I said, I thought the name of it in English looked similar to that of Portuguese. I asked for a piece of paper, I wrote it down and wala, I got what I wanted. AND the price was comparable to that of the US. Well done, Meredith.
