First Rain

It's 3.45 a.m. I am awake from past two hours, and sick, sneezing a million times.
What a week it's been. From trying to figure out things, bad results,to falling ill.
There is no sound in the entire hostel, except for rain drops, yes it's raining, first rain of the year. Looking back at the sunny day,who thought it would rain tonight.
Maybe life is like that, you get things when you least expect, and it's probably better that way.

MultiCulturalism??? CREED...does matter!

Yep.. it was 'creed' which sent millions of Jews to the gas chambers. It was 'creed' which saw the middle east overrun by Muslim armies. "Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the last day, ....until they are subjected"(Quran 9:29)  It is 'creed' which regards 'certain' Indians (Brahmins) as having a high social position by birth than other 'untouchable' members of Indian society.  It is creed which causes Sikhs to believe they have a right to carry a deadly dagger called a Kirpan into court rooms, schools(Australia/Canada) and onto Aircraft (Canada).

In short.. CREED does 'matter'. ADL calls for a distinctly selective immigration policy which is 'values' based rather than race based. Values cross all racial and cultural lines and compatible values are more likely to lead to intermarriage and the emergence of a stable, friendly society of the future.

The most important doco ever......

Dear Friends, this will be a short one.. I want you to look at the following vids as if your life depended on it!
It takes us from the 20s to now in terms of how Freud (fraud) and his nephew Edward Bernays shaped the consumer mind up till the 60s, then.. how  everything changed, and the influence of a former (rebellious) pupil of Freud named Wilhelm Riech.

The Ultimate irony of this story, is that they are all Jewish..and Bernays wrote a book called "Crystallising Public Opinion" which was about how to do just that... how to shape the masses minds. Well..guess who bought that book? Yep..it was Joseph Goebells! What did he do with the book ?  He used it to transform the mind of the masses of Germany, and to wipe out millions of Jews. You can't make this stuff up!

Who's heard of 'orgasmic' energy ?  sounds a bit like sex yes?  it is.. the energy of the sexual orgasm is what Wilhelm Reich tried to harness.. I won't spill the whole story, but it's in the video, and his rather distressing end.

Ten things I'll miss about living in the U.S.

As I sift through my belongings and organize, discard, and box up books to leave the U.S. and emigrate to Brazil, I do a lot of thinking. I imagine what life will be like for E and me in Brasilia. Of course this makes me excited and anxious, but at the same time it gets me thinking about what I'm going to miss here. I know it's cliche (and maybe cheesy), but I read a quote the other day that said "don't count the days, make the days count". So, that is what I've decided to do. As I try to take advantage of what I have here, I've decided to compile a list of 10 things that I'll miss from the U.S. I'm not going to include family or friends on here because that is inevitable. I hope to add to the list as our departure date gets closer.

I will miss....

1. Giving my name to the hostess/host at a restaurant when asked who we're reserving a table for. I can't do this in Brazil because they look at me like I'm speaking Russian and then say "o que??" (what??) and then murder my name by pronouncing it like it's a dirty dirty word.

2. Speaking English. Now I am fluent in Portuguese. I speak it every day, and I actually enjoy speaking Portuguese (and am looking to getting back what I've lost from being away from Brazil for a few years). BUT, I'll miss not having to do any thinking when I go to a store or make a call (wait, I do live in the U.S. and as a result of outsourcing I speak to Indians when I have a problem with my laptop, but that's beside the point). Regardless of the fact that I'll be teaching in English, I'll miss speaking English to native English speakers everywhere I go. It's like I'm looking forward to speaking Portuguese, but at the same time I'll miss speaking English. Make sense?

3. Bubble Tea. Need I say more?
For those of you who have never had it, you're missing out. Big time. (see picture)

Bubble Tea

4. Having my own car. Although I'd prefer it if we were a one-car family, it is very convenient to have your own car. (We'll probably just have one car in Brazil).

5. MTV. I love MTV and all of the reality shows they play. For instance, I could watch episodes of "Jersey Shore" and "Teen Mom" again and again, regardless of how trashy they are or how much my husband complains. Brazil's MTV is b-o-r-i-n-g.

6. Shopping malls. Not that I shop that much, but I like the outlets and sales and variety of the stores I go to. I also like that no one bothers me when I walk into one.

7. The radio. I guess this kind of goes along with number 2. I'll miss listening to the radio programs that make me laugh on my way to work. In English. My culture. Jokes that only Americans would understand. The prank phone calls.

8. Redbox. Does anything like this exist in Brazil? (I haven't been there in 4 years so I hope that I'm not too off on what I'll miss from not being in the U.S.).

9. Black Americans. I work at a "black school", my (step) dad is black, and I have amazing co-workers and friends that are black.  I'll miss working with my black co-workers, their culture, their jokes,.... I haven't come across or met many black Americans all the years that I was in Latin America and I always missed them.

10. My phone plan. I'll miss my seemingly unlimited minutes and my unlimited text messages. Cell phones in Brazil are expensive (though so is my iPhone plan) and each minute is precious. I guess what I will really be missing then are my (animated) text messages.

Country Shoppers. Send them back!

CANCER does not kill you in a day. It grows slowly, but surely, and it's malignant cells multiply.. relentlously, day after gruesome day.. until finally, when you are strangled by them, you give up your last life breath. I know it because I watched my own mother die that way in the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.

COUNTRIES can also experience 'cancer'- a social cancer, a political cancer, an ideological cancer. It might be the growth of ideas such as "National Socialism" or.. "Global Socialism" or "Islamism" or  any one of a number of repugnant ideologies which threaten the traditions, culture and political stability of the host country.

The number one enemy of Australia today, is the Green/Socialist/Islamist conspiracy to undermine our human rights, and deny us the right to practice freely our own culture in Australia.

STRATEGY.  The Green Algae is a slime which grows when the right nutrients are present. Deny the nutriants and it will die. The political Green slime seeking to get power in the Australian Federal Senate is just as insideous and dangerous. They have a very clear and determined strategy.
1/ Promote Australia's signatory status to UN "International Conventions".
2/ Undermine Australian Sovereignty by the above, and by promoting so called "Human Rights" laws.
3/ Advocate for 'anti hate speech' laws such as the Racial and Religious Vilification Act in Victoria.
4/ Push for ever increasingly tighter anti discimination laws which have the effect of strangling Churches and any body they deem 'policially unsuitable'.
5/  Seek the support of minorities such as so called assylum seekers (and eventually their extended families)

6/ Do so, by gaining the political balance of  power in whichever house they can. Current Target is the Australian Senate.

POLITICAL POISON.
Ingestion of algae caused a variety of "discomforts" including:  skin rashes, headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, muscular pains and eye, nose and throat irritation.
So too, the 'ingestion' of Green/Socialist political poison and Mr Browns disgraceful attempts to deny basic Australian human rights such as free speech and freedom of religion.. gives the same effect to many thousands of Aussies.

NEXT TIME VOTE FOR THE GREENS?
Sure..if you want a police state filled with drug crazed sex crazed porn crazed enemies of freedom and Australian Identity and culture!

Passports, and Visas, and the Consulate...oh my!

I'm frustrated because I think I was given false information by the consulate. Before we registered our marriage back in December, I had sent the consulate a number of e-mails asking about marriage registration and the permanent visa. I wanted to know if my husband needed to renew his passport before I could apply for MY visa since he has to prove his nationality (even though he has his birth certificate?). I was told "YES". That is what I think was misleading/false information.

I've recently been over obsessing about my visa and the more I REread, again and again and again, the more I'm convinced that the people who respond to e-mails at the Miami consulate just don't know English well. Even the website doesn't explain well the steps to getting the permanent visa; it lists what we need but not how to go about doing it. On top of that, the consulate won't accept visa-related phone calls. You have to send e-mails (to people who have not quite mastered the English language).

All of this is confusing and a bit frustrating. So, after conversing back and forth with the consulate, via e-mail of course, I have come to the conclusion that I don't need to wait any longer to apply for the visa. And frankly, should not have waited this long. But, just in case they were right about needing to renew my husband's passport.....it came in the mail today....

Now we both have blue passports

I have decided then to take a trip to Miami this week to apply for my visa. I will take everything, and more, that they require and hope for the best. We have probably 4 1/2 months before we move so I don't want to wait any longer (although the visa shouldn't *crosses fingers* take that long). I'm also taking my husband along because I don't want any issues about applying on the basis of marriage and then not being with my husband when I apply in person (because you can't do it in the mail - go figure).

Apparently if you've been married for 5+ years to a Brazilian then you only need to wait 5 business days to get the permanent visa; otherwise they have to wait on authorization from Brazil. The person who responded to my last e-mail told me that and their English was the best. I'd read this on a forum recently as well so it was nice to hear it from the consulate.

Maybe I'm just overwhelmed with work and graduate school and years of the U.S. immigration process as my husband went through it all here. I know I'm nervous about doing everything right and making sure we follow the steps and all that this entails....I guess it's just taking it's toll on me. I'm tired and can't wait until this is over. On a good note, however, I must have done a stellar job when I sent off for my husband's new passport because it took less than 2 weeks to get it back.

I just hope that my visa process goes as smoothly. I only have so many personal days that I can use at work so I can't miss a day unless it's for something productive that cannot be done via the phone, the Internet, or through the mail.

Trox Talk Movie Quotes (Reader Submitted)

I've said from the beginning that Trox Talk is all about YOU! Without the reader this is just a bunch of my insanity circulating (or not circulating) aimlessly around these here interwebs...This week I asked you all to send me your favorite movie quote of all time. It could be something that made you soil yourself with laughter or cry your eyes out. I know it was almost impossible to choose just one, but I want to thank you all because this has been a freaking blast! The response was pretty overwhelming for a first effort! So much in fact, that I have officially decided to make it the first installment of a new weekly segment in which I pose a question or thought to you guys, and I'll post your responses to it at random every Friday around lunch time. What should we call this thing? I'm pretty sure "Project Mayhem" and "Question of the Week" are already taken...Once you've seen these great quotes offered up by some of your peers, you should help me give this new baby a name! You already know the email: trox@troxtalk.com. I'll post the best name ideas and we'll put it to a vote. If the name "Trox's Mom is a Gutter Hippo" gets the most votes, then that is what the segment will be called. I will have absolutely NO say in it. This is YOUR TroxTalk! TAKE IT OVERRRR!!

We are going to revisit the realm of movie quotes again in the future because they are definitely the gift that keeps on giving. Initially, I asked you for your favorite movie quotes because I watched 3 of the crappiest pieces of film I've ever seen this past week. (I told you I was going to do a movie review on here soon, and that review will be for one of them, if not all of them.) I needed you all to get out the paddles and shock my belief in cinema back to life. Obviously because of you I am recovering nicely, so it looks like I owe you one. Thanks a million.
