Serbian Ana Ivanovic finally made it past the first round of a grand slam in recent times. The serb had a disappointing start at the Australian Open and French Open this year with early first round exits in both tourneys. But this time at Wimbledon it was a different story. Ivanovic blew away her opponent Oudin 6-0, 6-1, a victory margin that is sure to provide her with a good confidence boost for the rest of her run in Wimbledon.
On another note, fellow Serbian Jelena Jankovic did not have as sweet an ending, crashing out in 3 sets to Spain’s Maria Sanchez.
